Any electrical product placed on the US and Canadian markets must satisfy and perform safety testing to a degree of standards. There is a common misunderstanding that UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is the only organization that can certify and apply labels to UL standards. However, UL operates two unique entities, one being an independent body focused on standards development and a second Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) like TÜV, MET that is capable of issuing a US product certification much like other NRTLs.

Step 3 : Some products or machines rated as dangerous need to have been Initialized by an authorized body.
Step 4 : You can now label your product as CE Marking approved.

In Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) is the regulatory agency responsible for the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law which regulates the manufacture and sale of electrical and electronic products to prevent potential hazards.
